Fifteen questions to argue over
Print them at home, five sheets, three to an A4 sheet.
- carry a bag that always smells of one old banana …or… sit in a room that always smells of one wet dog
- put your hand in a pocket and find something you forgot …or… put it in and find something you did not put there
- smell faintly of onions to everyone but yourself …or… smell wonderful but only to insects
- bite something that crunches when it should not …or… bite something that squeaks when it should not
- drink something warm that should be cold …or… drink something lumpy that should be smooth
- have one tooth that whistles …or… have one finger that clicks every time you point
- sit on a chair somebody has just left …or… sit on a chair that is inexplicably cold
- have a cough that sounds like a duck …or… have a sneeze that sets off car alarms
- find a hair in every meal you did not cook …or… find a crumb in every bed you did not make
- have feet that leave footprints indoors …or… have hands that leave fingerprints on everything
- eat a biscuit that tastes faintly of soap …or… eat soup that tastes faintly of biscuit
- have a fridge that hums a tune you hate …or… have a fridge that smells of last Tuesday
- wear a jumper full of static for a day …or… wear trousers that rustle very loudly
- have breath that fogs mirrors in summer …or… have hands that fog glasses in winter
- be followed everywhere by one small fly that likes you …or… be avoided by every animal that has ever met you
Or take one sheet at a time
Written for this page, not taken from a book
These fifteen appear in none of the books. They were written to be given away, which is the whole of it — and every one has two answers somebody could defend, because a question with an obvious answer is a dead question.
If they like these, there are whole books of them
Every would-you-rather game book asks 300 impossible questions, three to a page, and draws both sides of each one — built to be played out loud, not read.
